Death of Glyn Thomas

After a long period of illness, Glyn Thomas passed away on 18 March 2009.

 

Glyn was born in 1932 and, with his wife Betty, pioneered churches in Glasgow, Ripon, Bollington and Grimsby before feeling a clear call at the end of the 1970s to start a new church in Poynton - Poynton Christian Fellowship, which in more recent years has been pastored by Andrew Allan.

 

Glyn and Betty went on to serve the Lord faithfully in missions all over the world through his missions organisation Light and Life.  Their missions work took in countries as widespread as Ethiopia, the Philippines, USA, Lebanon, France, South Africa, Holland, Ghana, various parts of India and also Central America.

 

Glyn leaves his wife Betty and three sons - Mark and Steve, both AOG Senior Pastors - and Paul.
