The Hockley Centre

After the recent major extension to the premises at 307-309 Park Lane, there is now a new fully equipped Community facility for use by the local community and business.

 

The extended building has been named the Hockley Centre because of its location in the Hockley area of Poynton.  On Sundays, it provides at Number 307, a home for Poynton Christian Fellowship. 

 

Number 309 is a separate address and can be hired and used as an entirely independent premises.  Downstairs is the Lower Community Hall (Hockley Café) which is capable of seating approximately 100 people but is normally laid out as a Café area as it has its own servery with kitchenette facilities. 

 

Upstairs are 2 halls that can be used either separately or together by drawing back the sliding screens.  The large Upper Hall has a sprung dance floor, a basic PA system and an OHP screen.  The Upper Community Hall is particularly suited to dining as it has a large hatch into the large and brand new fully fitten kitchen. 

 

There are also 5 smaller rooms of various sizes which can be used for small meetings or conference syndicates, and are also used as Children's Rooms by Poynton Christian Fellowship on Sundays. 

 

There are new toilet facilities and newly built disabled facilities  - disabled toilets on both floors and a lift for ease of access to the first floor.
